Founded in 1985, the Ottawa Smockers' Guild is committed to advancing knowledge of smocking and related arts. We want to support and encourage the continued use of this beautiful fabric decoration skill.

The Guild includes an education project at each meeting to teach members new stitches and new finishing touches. In additon, we work on a number of service projects, including smocking tiny nighties for use in the premature units of area hospitals as well as supplying various personal need items to a local women's shelter.
